how to make my final piece?

I have made it out of paper rolling as in the picture. And i put plaster bandage over to block all the gaps between the papers also to allow to give a texture to the piece.

I came up to the destination of making film as my project is all about the sound and it is better to communicate throughout the short film. I have came up with 2 ideas of how and the scenary of it. The first idea is to film with someone who is a she wearing it. get out of the car on the red carpet as she is the celebrity. And there is way too many photographers with loads of flsh lights and she kinds of get annoy with it so she blows the horn to make them all got frightened and go away. The second idea is this woman who is a celebrity who is walking round somewhere. And this paparazzi guy is taking photos of her secretly. And since when she starts to notice about it and she turns around and blow the horn necklace at the paparazzi and he got frightenning and scared and finally runaway

development

I have made a really smooth surface paper horn. As I realize how smooth the surface is the louder the is. and i have made this life size- final peice size for me to get an idea out of it.

I have made a paper horn. it is a good use of material and should be making sound eventually. but as this, the inside bit of the horn isnt smooth enough as in the picture. so i decided to make the paper smaller maybe it would give me a better quality of the inside surface.

Now i have been palying and thinking about the material that i could use to make the instrument. Yesterday I came up with the idea of paper machet and it came out not too well as the surface inside the instrument wasnt smooth enough for air to be compressed for making a sound. I am still keep going on using different material and make more shapes. here is the picture of the horn i made yesterday.

Masquerade.

As I think I am quite good at knitting and i have done the best project of all with it so i would like to interpret the knitting into the peice.
Over the weekend I went to see the play 'Phantom of the Opera' and there was a scene 'Masquerade' that i interested in. There was one kind of mask that use the side stick to hold up it self by holding it by hand. And to use knitting for the aesthetic and the decoration for it.
How does it relate to sound? At the end of the stick that holds the mask would be a big horn but small end. As it is in the picture.
Also I have made the paper version of the masquerade in the picture.

Sketchup

I have been trying to work out the sketchup program with my design but it is so hard and complicated as the sketchup guy said too! So i think for this project i might just have to draw by hand too bad. Also I have been designing the accessories.

Progressing

As I have been ill recently so I havent done as much as i expected but anyway, I have done the most important things on my list which were Horniman Museam, to decide what exactly I want to make and try it out. After I have been thinking of the most possible way of making sound that scared people. I came up with the idea of carrying around or something to wear as in fashion wise. So I came up with the idea of making an accessory or a head wear. WHY?? Because I decided to make some instrument that make big sound because that is what people scared of also it has an effect on abdominal system. An accessory could be big and chunky with the aesthetic look of fashion as well as headwear. Also I have thought back about to make people surprise with sound with my previous experiment. Horn or whistle are the best to make people scared unexpectedly. Another important thing is the shape and the material. I have been thinking abut it a lot because the shape of the instrument effects the sound itself. So today, I made a paper version of the design. It was alright at the first place then when i tried to take it apart and to staple it then it fail apart so this is the best look of idea i could get at the moment.

SURPRISE!!!!

Yesterday, I came up with the idea of to surprise someone with sound. I have seen one TV series over the holiday called 'mek lai payak' which is a thai series. There was one character which was a samurai and she traveled really fast by having sound and some smoke came up around her and she disappeared somewhere. So that came up in my mind of have a balloon that contains powder in it so when it pops with an 'unexpected' sound and with the powder or smoke in the air and that could help when vunerable people to escape or to bend attention and attack the criminal. But how do i make it? I will have a think about it over the weekend. Today, I have tried out with people who came in with the balloons, Crisp bag, Party blowout thingy and the Ribena Juice box. Also I have the video of them.

Police Cars and Ambulances

It came up in my idea of using the sound of Ambulances and Police cars as both of these noises are the ones that terrify people out. Especially Police car where we can never tell which direction it is coming from. In the time of crime, There should be a product that helps the victims from crime by the use of the police car's noises and so when the criminal hears it and they scared and runaway. Also this relates to how noises effects on people's psychology and health.

Noise and Sound

I came up with an idea of using sound as a weapon. I have researched about how sound effects on people. So I came up with the idea of how to use sound that makes annoyance and runaway, like protecting themselves from crime as it will act like a weapon. Also I have looked at some noises and effect or react on human's psychology.
